Own an alpha-numeric pager?  This will let your computer speak the protocol
so you can send messages to it.  With the help of a mail filter like
"procmail" (available via ftp from your local comp.sources.unix archive or
from berg@messua.informatik.rwth-aachen.de) you can have messages containing
certain keywords automatically sent to your pager.
